"TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The consternation surrounding Florida State's weak nonconference schedules should diminish some in time for 2014, as the school announced Wednesday it would play a neutral-site game against Oklahoma State in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium."

How does this make their nonconference schedule tougher? Because they are at a neutral-site?

Florida State probably plays tougher nonconference schedules than 80-90% of BCS teams. I don't understand why there had been consternation.

True. If nothing else, they always have Florida on their schedule as an OOC game. They just need to get out of that conference if they want to be really in contention annually. Of course, losing to NC State doesn't help their case.

Anyone that scheduled Savannah State as a non-conference opponent this season sucks.

List of teams that suck:
Pokes (won 84-0)
Free Shoes (won 55-0, but would have won by more if not for weather issues (http://www.ssuathletics.com/news/2012/9/8/FB_0908120613.aspx?path=football))

Have to give FSU a bit of a pass on that one because that was supposed to be a game w/ WVU. Dana's boys backed out of it when they joined the B12.

That's not really on FSU. Also, OU played FAMU, so we don't have much room to talk.

I hope. I'm ready for the XII to make a move. It's going to be us or the ACC as the 4th at the table.

Well Gumby - if you can't hunt with the big dogs, you need to stay on the porch. He wanted to play them William & Mary School of Nursing but they didn't have an open date on their schedule.

I know Coach Gundy disagrees, but I always think these type of games make both your program and your team stronger, both in the short run and in the long run. If you cannot win these games you don't deserve national titles anyway. Also, it is my hope that teams that schedule these type of games will be rewarded by the committee put together to pick the playoff teams in the future.
