Isn't there an offensive lineman from the same JUCO that we're looking at?

Josiah St. John; it's between OU & KU for him.

how is that even a choice for a kid

I don't know. Doesn't seem like we are exactly going up against heavyweights for some of our guys.

The article I read said he was the top rated OT in JUCO though so that sounds promising.

Could've been about playing time. Especially with JUCOs.

I'm a little surprised he chose OU, with 2 tackles returning.

no $hit...we are competing with KU for a football recruit...good grief.

After looking at his offers, ok, yes he had lots of offers from lots of D1 schools, but to say top level not really. Without looking it up, besides a/m, any other top 15/20 schools? wsh st maybe?

I'm happy, we need lineman, I try not to worry about recruiting, leave it up to Stoops and Co.

comparing jucos is a different game than comparing high school kids.

The fact that Weis has a ton of NFL contacts and NFL coaching experience had a lot to do with KU being a finalist. Also, he was guaranteed a starting position, and OU's offer was much later than KU's. I'm not sure (once OU offered) that KU really had a chance, but out of respect for the staff that recruited Russell, he kept them in the final two.

JUCOs need immediate PT.
