Today, 3 star DT Kerrick Huggins de-committed from Texas A&M, and committed to OU. Huggins first received interest from Oklahoma last year (2012), but was not offered initially. Huggins received an offer from Texas A&M in January, and committed to the Aggies in February. OU, after further evaluating Huggins, finally made an offer in September. At that time, Huggins said he was "solidly A&M". Obviously that changed. A&M continued to recruit at the DT position, and received four additional commits. So, there were going to be 5 DTs in this class for the Aggies.
There is no word on whether or not Huggins de-committed because of the additional commits to the position, or he had other reasons.
There is a rumor that grades are a concern for Huggins, and that he may not be able to qualify. Right now, that is only a rumor...and I'll update with more information as I get it.
