The answer is always LSU.

i think Alabama should take the place of tOSU on that poll

going undefeated and not making the championship or even a BCS game is pretty unlucky. even Allbarn at least got to win the Sugar Bowl

where Alabama gets to backdoor into the championship game over other 1-loss teams after other undefeated teams happened to get upset later than they were

It was a protest hold-out as this poll should only have one choice. :D

This x a gazillion. Their best win over a AQ team is Kansas & that gets you in the BCS? Puhleeze.

Had to write in 'Bama. With 2 weeks to go in the season, they need 2 of the remaining 3 undefeated teams to lose to have a chance at a BCS title slot. The Ducks and KSU immediately granted their wish. They needed similar help last season when they got that fluke ISU win over the pokes. At leas this year, they did have to win their conference.

Totally ND.... Come on, a missed 33 yard FG by Pitt in the 2nd OT for the win??????

LSU is so overrated it's not even funny. They are by far the luckiest. As always

Totally ND.... Come on, a missed 33 yard FG by Pitt while illegally having two guys with the same jersey number on the field in the 2nd OT for the win??????

fixed for complete accuracy.

Agreed. When WE need "this this and then this to happen" for us to get into a big game, it never seems to happen. But all sorts of crap happened for them to get to the big game.

You forgot to mention the incompetent replay officials in the Stanford game neglecting to see the ball broke the plane on 4th down.

I don't have the time or inclination to point out every time they danced with the devil this season.

i still voted for Notre Dame

eff them in the A

they squeak by Stanford, and they aren't 17 points better than us. the ball could have just as easily bounced our way in that game, especially if Saunders isn't in limbo

Saunders played great against ND - set a record for receptions if I recall. His acting to try to get a PI flag on a critical play needed some work though.

Think NIU will consider themselves lucky after the bowl game?Good point! Their luck is a double edged sword, since they have to share their BCS bowl take with other members of their conference(I am assuming they DO have to share), AND they have to guarantee what, 20,000 high priced tickets be sold to their fans(come up with the money), AND they will likely get MOIDALIZED by the Criminoles. I doubt all that many NIU fans will want to see their team face the Crims.

yes they do. the only schools that don't are ND and if they made it BYU.

Take your pick...

NIU, they should never sniff a bcs bowl game ever!

Didn't A&M get a lucky break on a **** poor official review that helped them win over bama?

Bama for backdooring into the BCS title gam.

Notre Dame for some luck. But a great team takes advantage of the luck.

OU for not suffering more OL injuries.

KSU for the fumble recovery for a TD.

The list goes on. Every team experiences luck at some point in the season.

yes they do. the only schools that don't are ND and if they made it BYU.I heard recently on radio that NIU doesn't even have 20,000 fans for most home games. I DO realize that Miami in January is a real relief from Northern Illinois.
