My all time favorites were the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl and the big Houston furniture store.com bowl.

I think the Military Bowl, presented by Northrup Grumman is
actually a GOOD bowl name, one of the few lower tier bowls
that should hang around. There are 15-17 too many bowls.

Didn't they used to sponsor the Rose Bowl?

^^^^^ This, you could eliminate a lot of bowls and make them more worth watching if you required teams to win 50% of conf games to be eligible.

Someone must be making $$ on all these bowls since they continue to play so many. I guess the fan bases of the teams involved combined with the football junkies that will watch any game presented is enough to justify the expense for advertisers. I don't see any problem with it - I don't feel I'm missing any great entertainment opportunity that is being displaced by these games. There are hundreds of cable/satelite channels out there hungry for any kind of content they can find.

Every one of those sucks big time, except the Military Bowl.

When the Idaho Potato Bowl first popped up on the scene, I thought it was a joke, but it has since become more humorous and almost endearing.

I think the nebbish once played in the Gotham Bowl. Don't know if Batman was there but surely the Joker must have been in attendance.

I think Colorado State was once invited to a bowl that they well-deserved and held in the fresh produce section of the country. Although this bowl is remembered fondly and observed even today, it unfortunately is no longer played...The Salad Bowl

I think my all-time favorite was the Poulan Weed-Eater Bowl. I also remember the Blockbuster Bowl back in the 90s. That bowl was later called the MicronPC.com bowl, another stupid name. I liked it as the Tangerine Bowl.

The Toilet Bowl between the Phi Delt's and Sig Alph's at Kansas State. I missed it though because I went to Norman to watch Billy Sims run for over 200 yeards against the Wildcats on his way to the Heisman.
