As I said to my old OUI friends. The Tea Party has as much legs as a cheap wine. To many nuts in the chicken coop.

You mean nuts like:

Ted Kennedy - the assumed room temperature "Lion" (what a laugher) of the Senate. Forget that he killed a woman. He was a Democrat hero!

Hank Johnson - Guam will tip over. He get's reelected over and over. A Democrat hero!

William Jefferson - Doesn't everybody put their money in the freezer? Won his Democrat primary AFTER being indicted. A true Democrat hero! I'm sure racism played a factor in his general election loss.

Maxine Waters - "“Guess what this liberal would be all about? This liberal would be about socializing … uh, umm. … Would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies." " I just watched-the Republicans were out there-they were having a great time. They were laughing, they were waving the American flag, they were egging them on, and I thought that was outrageous behavior. I really did.” A true Democrat Heroine! And at least honest one, I must say.

Jesse Jackson, Jr - I didn't try to buy that Senate seat, I'm just depressed. Reelected while in a mental clinic. An outstanding Democrat hero!

Bawney Fwank - I had no idea the male prostitute I was shacking up with was prostituting in my apartment. Reelected over and over and over. A disgusting Democrat (redundant I know) hero in good standing!

Sheila Jackson Lee - "I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen!" "Today, we have two Viet Nams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working." A dazzlingly brilliant mind, and true Democrat heroine!

Pete Stark - "The more debt we owe, the wealthier we are." Ah, what a golden nugget that is, and goes right to the heart of being a Democrat. A Democrat hero that is!

Bubba Clinton - Because you know, it just depends on what the definition of "is" is. A Democrat demigod!

So we have liars, cheats, law breakers, murderers, idiots, socialist wannabes, and yet they all still keep or kept getting reelected by their large Democrat majority areas because they are all truly Democrat heroes each and every one!

I'll take our "nuts" in the Tea Party any day thanks.

DeMint will do good in organizing those nuts where he is going.

The Senate is defunct. They won't even propose a spending bill, and the media won't pressure them to do so. Reid is Obama's wench, so good for DeMint. I'm excited to see what he's able to do.

Maybe he can do more good there...always liked Jim DeMint. He fought against the 60% tax increase that was levied on me when I lived in Bermuda...too bad he lost.

LLL, maybe nuts like Tom Delay-money launderer, Bob Ney -convicted of conspiracy,
Duke Cunningham-bribery, mail & wire fraud, Bill Janklow, 2nd degree manslaughter,
Weinberger and Abrams-Iran Contra...won't even talk about Watergate and Spiro Agnew.

I'm incredibly disappointed that DeMint took the top job with Heritage. The number of Senators (counting both parties) that are worth their oath can be counted on one hand, and DeMint was one such Senator. The Senate and country need him far far more than Heritage does.

I used to absorb everything that Heritage put out that I could get my hands on. In HS, I had a little filing cabinet with file folders full of Heritage's "two page briefs" that I used for various things (mostly debate evidence). However, over the last 10 years, it has becoming increasingly obvious to me that Heritage has become another neoconservative policy organ and I no longer had a use them.

Hopefully DeMint can right that particular ship and restore Heritage to some semblance of ideological respectability.

Well rock on, interestingly, I don't think many of these guys kept getting reelected. That's the key here.

Nobody said criminal types don't exist on both sides. It's just the Democrat ones that are Democrat heroes and keep getting reelected despite their criminality, or in some cases even because of it.

Alcee Hastings comes to mind as someone that won an election because of his illegalities. Marion Berry also. They were able to parley "the man was out to get me" crap in to election victories.

I don't see our side lionizing those guys you named. Big difference.

Also, those guys aren't Tea Partiers to my knowledge.

Another also, some of those guys weren't even elected officials were they? Appointees? You're really reaching there rock. But keep on with the good fight. :)

You're absolutely correct, they didn't get re-elected, mostly because they
got incarcerated instead.

Never did understand Barry getting re-elected, though. Tell ya another
one that has a lock...Rangel, what is it, 21 terms or some such. Yeah, I

He hasn't moved the party to the right at all. He has worked fairly hard to move the Republican in a more libertarian direction which is why it's so damned sad to see him go. He's one of the least hawkish Republicans in the Senate and his advocacy for restraint in the mid-east will be missed.

DeMint is anything but a right-wing bogyman.

He fails the libertarian quiz.

DeMint opposes abortion, including in cases of rape and incest

Supports organized prayer in public school.

Opposes the rights of gays to be teachers.

He said that while government does not have the right to restrict homosexuality, it also should not encourage it through legalizing same-sex marriage, due to the "costly secondary consequences" to society from the prevalence of certain diseases among homosexuals.

Supported invasion of Iraq.

He is libertarian in terms of supporting cuts in gov't.

This may come as a shock, but conservatives don't view passing more legislation as necessarily a good thing. Shocking I know.

The best congresses are the ones that do the least generally and just stay out of the way.

You will never accept it, but had Obama and his democrat majorities not passed so much burdensome stuff the economy would be doing much better.

Neither did Ron Paul?

It isn't about the amount of legislation you pass. It's about being a faithful steward of the Constitution and remaining true to your oath of office. We need more Jim DeMints and Rand Pauls and a lot fewer Chuck Schumers and Mitch McConnells.

you know....as a Moderate I really hate to see to many Conservatives suddenly give up after the first Black POTUS was re-elected. No matter what many folks in this Country think about our current President...he has shown that he's not a quitter. I even tend to support many Conservatives usually but when they quit and you have a record like his....it's pretty obvious that he's doing what's best for America by opening up his House seat to someone who not only wants to be there but someone who might actually bring forth a few ideas at the negoaiting table.

Had he at least done something but pie in the sky politics and sign petitions with outsiders, I might feel this was a loss for America as I have always believed more ideas will keep our Country on track as a Super Power. Guys like him that can only see in one direction should be licking envelopes at some Foundation.

Your first problem is the whole "black" thing. Nobody cares what color he is. Its his politics that suck, not his color. He is a liberals liberal. A redistributionist. And an ideologue. He id no different than DeMint, just on the opposite spectrum.

You guys never see yourselves a rigid ideologues, only conservatives are in your minds. That's completebunk.
