View Full Version : Texas A&M favored by 4

The opening line had A&M favored by four points.

I really have no idea what to think of this one. I can see it being a shoot out (just like 2 of our last 3 games). Then again, it could get ugly either way.

So much of the bowl game depends on how the team feels about playing. I think our losses to both Boise and WVU in the Fiesta Bowls had a lot to do with teams that weren't motivated. The good news is we are playing a familiar team.

Oregon -9.5 over Kansas State

I'm afraid Oregon could make it ugly.

The A&M line sounds about right.

A&M is not a good matchup for us. I think ol' Johnny Football is going to run for about 200 yards on us. The trick will be getting him to make mistakes throwing the ball.

This, and the fact that WVU and OSU made our D look silly and D2 like. I doubt if our offense is that far removed that Sumlin won't know to scheme it. I hope for the best, but think we might get schooled.

The month off hurts them more than us.

Well, that didn't take long. It opened up at FSU -7 when I looked.

It's always hard to tell what's going to happen in a bowl game. I can remember one way back on January 1, 1978 that I and most of the rest of America thought that we were going to win going away and................

Yeah it could go either way this year. I like out chances depending upon which OU team shows up. Maybe being the underdogs will get our boys riled up.

NIU in a big boy bowl with out the coach that brought them there. FSU is going to make that really good QB of theirs run for his life. That FSU DL should live in the backfield.

If you told me right now that Manziel (mods please, please, please put a filter on the term "Johnny Football") were going to run for 200 yards and that we would be able to shut down the pass I would take that in a heartbeat because I'm convinced we would be able to put out enough offense to win.

"The game will be a rematch of the 2010 matchup when the unranked Aggies upset the Sooners 33-19 behind the play of Cyrus Gray, Ryan Tannehill and Von Miller."

from some jack off on the dallas paper...

really? what about LAST years matchup...OU's 41 to 25 beat down...whatever...

Funny, before it looked like OU and A&M would play, my Aggie friends said OU would be one of the worst matchups in all of college football for A&M and easily the hardest Big 12 opponent. I think this is the hardest game to predict. Maybe I'm too close to it. I really don't know what to expect.

Obviously losing Saunders will hurt a bit but I really think OU is going to score points in bunches. If the secondary does what it does and gives the D line time to get pressure enough to force a turnover then Oklahoma will win going away.

Big game for recruiting

I do. Manziel won't catch lucky breaks like he did against Bama. We'll actually capitalize on his miscues.

When was the last time aTm was favored against us? I guess going to the sec does automatically make you better.

No, beating Bama gets them favored. Hiring Sumlin made them better.

Either 2006 (can't recall but line was close), or 1999 - for sure.

Meh. All their base are belong to us. We can outscore them, whether or not Johnny Screwhead goes off. Might be 49-43, but we can take these guys.

The only time their defense played an offense like ours was LA Tech and they almost lost. So, I think this comes down to the offenses. Landry has proved recently that he can win shoot outs. I'd say a 45-35 OU win.
