Like my thread title is news...

200+ yards v. Packers and still a quarter to go.

Poor Ryan needs to give #28 a call.

Too bad Ponder sucks so bad. He missed AD on a wide open bomb too.

I may be alone in this line of thinking, but I believe AD is going to be able to compete in the NFL.

Are his initials not AP? Why would it be wrong to call him AP. Would you expect Joe Buck or Troy Aikman to use a nickname? Minny fans call him AP more than AD...

Coming back from an ACL the way he has solidifies that he is not only the best RB in the game, he is also a once in a generation back. The guy should win Offensive POY going away whether his team makes the playoffs or not. Well on his way to 1st Ballot HOF and being considered a Top 3-5 RB ever

Pretty good indication that he worked his *** off in rehab - of course, he's always gone the extra mile in workouts, which helps to set him apart from the pack even further.

Broyles has also come along faster than usual for his kind of injury - I hope that's a sign that he's also willing to put in a similar effort to become the best WR he can.

The thread title is true because AD is a cyborg. Fortunately, there is no testing done for that by the NFL yet.

3 RBs in the history of the NFL average 5 yards per carry for their career (with a min 1000 carries)...

Jim Brown 5.2
Barry Sanders 5.0
Adrian Peterson 5.0

I know that they had limited clock time left, but when he's your entire offense the entire game... can't you take a risk and keep running ALL DAY since you've been running ALL DAY and the only reason that you are in this game today is ALL DAY?!?!?

I feel bad that he's stuck on such a suck team... but my Packers won, so unless he plans to join them, I hope he at least buys tons of nice stuff with the millions they're paying him

That's because Minnesota fans are ignorant ****ing hicks. Nay, worse than hicks. They're viqueens.

Well I became a psuedo Vikings fan when AD went there. I can't speak for real Vikings fans although my brother for some inexplicable reason has been a Vikings fan since he was about five years old. I think he liked Tarkenton or something.

I'd prefer see Peterson have a 200 yard day and the Vikings lose than him having a 30 yard day and a win.

One reason is because years ago I had a Bama friend rib me on the fact we had no NFL HOF'ers from OU. The implication was that the NFL HOF really shows how much talent has come through schools like OU and Bama. This is a BS argument of course and the fact that OSU has two HOF running backs who were on the same team yet still never beat OU proves it.

This was before Selmon and Tommy McDonald made it to the HOF. We are underrepresented in the HOF (especially if you don't include Aikman) and Peterson is the only OU player who is on the verge of the HOF. A couple of more years at this level or a few mediocre years and he'll be there statistically. It would just help if the Vikings didn't suck so bad - or if Favre didn't throw that interception in the NFCCG.

I know you're joking but Peterson would have won that Heisman that year going away. There was essentially nobody else in consideration until he got injured.

Broyles, Peterson, Jamal Charles...Like I posted earlier this year in the draft talks about Broyles, the ACL tear just is not as hard to recover from as it used to be with the intrusive surgery..I know some people argued with me a lot(Curly Bill!), but it's not as difficult anymore..

At 1 point this season, the top rusher in the NFC(Peterson) and the AFC(Charles) were both coming off of ACL injury seasons.

I concur. Who in their right mind comes up with a nickname like "Purple Jesus." That's really... blasphemous and stupid and sacrilegious and such.
