If Landry plays like he did today, no chance to stay within 3 td's

The wind in the Sugar Bowl is terrible. Landry will surely blow it.

We need a really good game out of the defense. That is something they are capable of doing against an average offense like Florida.

Definitely won't be more than a TD.

OU matches up pretty well vs them. Florida has a bad offense and good defense. Should be a game similar to what you saw today.

-6.5 for florida

we win by 2 touchdowns.

LJ played fine today. The wind was a huge impact on the passing game and TCU has the most sophisticated coverage schemes we've faced all year and they only fooled him into 1 pick. And even that pick was wind aided - he would have gotten it over the guy if he didn't have to drive it low due to the wind. That conversion on 3rd and 23 for a TD turned the game.

Anybody who thinks a wind like we had to play in yesterday didn't affect us more than it did TCU is fooling themselves. I'm not saying that the wind was responsible for all of the dirt balls, but I think that Landry was playing uber-conservative with it. He realized that his D was playing well and as long as he didn't hand the ball to the Froggie D too many times, we had an excellent chance of winning. In short, he did what he had to do to win and to keep too much pressure off of our D's backs.

If we play a game like we had yesterday without a vicious wind (which was responsible for both the J. Brown muff and the corkscrew FG attempt that changed the game completely) then we beat Florida by 3-7 points.

I think Northern Illinois will really struggle against Florida in a big game like this. Especially since their coach just left.

LJ should have 2 int's, but the froggie got a headache instead. Lucky LJ didn't get penalized for unnecessary roughness! The wind did affect both teams, but it seemed Boykin threw a couple of longer passes in the 2nd half without much trouble. I'm glad some people feel good about OUr chances with Flo Rida, but this team is like herding cats. You never know which direction they will go.

most of Boykin's long throw (the opening play in the 3d quarter being the exception) - came with the wind at his back

The wind was certainly swirling yesterday. At the south end, the flags on the goalpost it appeared to be blowing from left to right and in. At the other end where I was at, it was blowing from right to left (from the vantage point of the players on the field).

Watching the replay this morning, I'd say Landry probably played better than he looked yesterday. And I'm sure the wind probably had a lot to do with my initial negative assessment of him. His TD throws to Saunders and Williams were right on the money. And he also had that bomb late in the first to Stills that Kenny should have caught.

give some credit to TCU as well - they're an extremely well coached team and will be a factor in the Big 12 as long as Patterson is there.......that's not a WVU defense we played

IF we get to play them we are going to be embarrassed.

They have a head coach that once coached at texas and actually coached with blood in his face. He's serious.

We stand no chance against the legend that is Muschamp (the texas head coach in waiting).

The only consolation in this scenario is that 2 of the 4 bowls that helped create and continue a really ****ty BCS system will get totally screwed. The Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowl will not be happy with that scenario.

Yep. Anything.

Although nothing's set in stone at this point, I feel pretty confident that the Sugar Bowl will not pick NIU (if they crack the BCS Top 16.) NIU will go to the Orange, because they have the last pick. Of course, I'm known to be wrong several times a day.

All the SEC love is causing ESPN to ignore the fact that Florida is as incompetent at moving the ball as you can be. That's why it didn't suprise that UL almost beat them several weeks ago. I would expect a game very much like the TCU or the IOWA game last year.
