Has anyone taken a second to think how bad our offense would have been this season without the 2 transfers? I think it's no coincidence that Landry's play got better when Saunders got eligible; thank you Jalen and Justin for coming to OU

They have been tremendous additions this season.

I couldn't agree more. I think OU would be looking at one or two more L's on the schedule without those 2 guys.

For sure they would have lost tonight without Saunders

We were talking about this on the way back from the game. Would like to know if a coach talked them into transferring or if we just won the WR lottery.

Norvell should get more credit for this than Sumlin gets for the Shermanator's Johnny Football guy. He was instrumental in February's WR haul. I wish we could win the OL and DL lottery like that in 2013!

They have been amazing additions to the team, but without them someone else may have stepped up or gotten additional catches.

Could not agree more. Both of those young men have played their arses off for Landry and Stoops. HUGE thanks to both of them.

it's possible, but IMO highly unlikely; you are talking a jr and sr with alot of game experience; would have been hard for 2 more Frosh to have stepped up like they have.

And that's not even counting what we've gotten on punt returns.

At least get it back to where it was before the WVU game.

Studs.

Let's not forget Brennan Clay.

Who?

Between the two, we added an AMAZING dynamic we didn't have. The experience alone is massive, but to have a wideout like Justin Brown that can use body position as well as he does, having an electric guy in space like Saunders, coupled with a speed threat like Kenny Stills?

HUGE difference. A season's worth of difference if you ask me.

Possibly Metoyer steps up or Shepard gets more touches. Idk, I wasn't saying that would for sure be the case only that those passes would be going somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, they have done wonders for this team.

Brown has been my favorite player all year. Saunders has really come on and had a huge game last night.

Absolutely! That little big man has really stepped up this year and made some great plays...blocking, running. receiving & returns...

It's possible some others might have stepped up but Saunders and Brown had more experience and it shows. Together they have been able to do what Ryan Broyles did on his own. I don't want to take anything away from them with the Broyles Statement either but Ryan did do a lot to help get Stills and the others open and give Landry lots of targets. Saunders and Brown have opened up Landry to become a QB that can move an offense quickly down the field by giving him so many opportunities. It's been incredible to watch these last three games. The stats don't lie. The amount of yards and catches by our WRs and the number of Completions and attempts has to make Pro Scouts heads spin. We are seeing an amazing offense at it's best right now.

Read a story about Brown saying that he is a study freak (game study). He has been mentoring the young guys. Hopefully, his presence is felt for many years to come.
