I went to see Skyfall last night and I thought it was okay. Certainly did not live up to the hype and not nearly as good as Casino Royale. Good characters and action but the plot was disjointed and took a long time to develop.

Dang it. I was really hoping it was going to be a good one. Really liked casino royale.

IBTD...
I think it's the best Bond film of the past twenty years...

It was good but I agree with diverdog that it wasn't as good as Casino Royale.

Javier Bardem sold it on the villain...hands down.

Was talking to my dad and stepmom yesterday and they said it was a great movie.

Saw a story about the Bond Film and how they have kept the Family involved in protecting the brand instead of selling it out to a Studio and a bunch of Writers who would turn Bond into a 3 movie trilogy or something worse.

The idea is that Bond can evolve I guess and that Daniel Craig didn't really want to do the role as he was afraid of being type cast. I guess after meeting with the 1/2 owners Daughter and Son who control the rights now...he agreed to do it.

Something like that anyway....

I watched Dr. No last night. Ursela Andress was a class act.

I also enjoyed how James Bond would bang an enemy babe before sending her packing.

That's how he got 204 STD's...
...SNL did a skit on that once, it was hysterical.

The opening sequence of Casino Royale will be hard to top. But Skyfall was very good, great plot twists and plenty of surprises which was something considering it is a franchise built on a formula.

Isn't he supposed to look like Hoagie Carmichael?

I enjoyed it as much as Casino Royale, even if there wasn't a Texas Hold Em Poker dramatic scene. I couldn't hold the jumbo concession drink in any longer and snuck out when he won a ton of poker chips, but it seemed like a good point to sneak out... so how did Bond break the casino bank in Skyfall?

I think they need to do one that is hard core porn and violence and intrigue.

I thought it was one of the best ones ever.

At least it probably doesn't involve Bond getting his cajones beaten to a pulp with a leather whip. That's a plus in my book. Or maybe, if you don't like Daniel Craig, it's a minus.

I was a little bit disappointed in Skyfall, but overall it was still good. The highlight of the movie was Javier Bardem role. That dude is a pretty good actor when it comes to playing a guy missing a few screws. I laughed quiet a bit at some of his lines, even though I'm not sure they were meant to be funny.

I also thought the end was kind of rushed. Not the scene in the chapel, but the office scene with Ms. Moneypenny and the new M
