Most everyone around Oklahoma thought it might be 2-4, but 8? No one saw that coming. What do you feel is driving the oddsmakers to set this so high? Osu's struggles on the road? An injury we don't know about?

thoughts?

Probably just general public perception. Trying to get 50/50.

A hidden injury wouldn't move the line until big money has been laid down.

I'd say it's OSU's struggles on the road, a less-than-experienced QB playing a big game in Norman, Senior Day, last year's outcome and a defense that has had its pride absolutely smacked the last two weeks. Also, the last four times this game has been in Norman we've stomped a mudhole in 'em. The Stoolwater games have been close. Norman, not so much.

My service has it a O.U. -7 as of 4:40 PM today & it was at -9 on Monday.

It appears to me that they're trying to get some $$$$ on the Sooners.

Realistically, OU should win by 20+ if they avoid the dumb mistakes.

8 seems about right to me. I think it'll be close to 10 when it's over though.

OSU is a good team, with some fatal flaws. First, their defense isn't forcing turnovers anywhere near the rate they did last year...and that's a big deal when it comes to winning/losing. More importantly perhaps is their QB shuffle. They have 3 pretty decent QBs (one or two may end up being pretty good), but at this point I don't think they have one guy that can consistently win big. OU has a lot to play for this week. OSU is already bowl eligible, and out of the conference title chase, the motivation isn't as high for them.

On the road, rivalry, revenge, OU in the title hunt, QB shuffle, suspect defense = 8 points.

Of course OSU could pull out the win (especially if we haven't figured something out on defense), but it would be a surprise if they did.

Nothing to do with the teams, but to keep the money even. It does show you that people who enjoy a game of chance are leaning to OU winning.

I am concerned that the students will sell their tickets to the Aggies, and the home field will not be as intimidating as needed. OUr defense better STEP IT UP!!!
