I've been a fan since way back, and like most, but not all of his stuff. For a quick rundown, he started his career with The Guess Who in Winnipeg, Canada in the 60s. Left the bad at the height of its success in 1970 (after American Woman) and later formed Bachman Turner Overdrive.

Between those two, he formed a band called Brave Belt (released two albums) with a guy named Chad Allan, who I call the "unluckiest man in rock and roll". Chad Allan left The Guess Who prior to their big success, rejoins with Bachman in Brave Belt, then leaves again. Brave Belt then morphed into BTO, and more success. Chad Allan did the vocals on the first album, Fred Turner also joined for the second album.

The Brave Belt material was very hard to find until the last few years. Its now available on cd, Itunes, Spotify, Youtube, etc. Its interesting, if you were ever a fan. In between The Guess Who and BTO, with a little country touch.
