So when will they start skyrocketing about a dime every couple days?

Here in Tulsa a few stations have gone up 6 cents since this morning.

Tulsa prices are hyper (thanks largely to QT) They've been hovering around $3 for the past month now.

The current issues are in Israel, so it shouldn't really affect the oil market. If things intensify with Eqypt in the mix, then things could change.

A dime at this point is what.. .3%?

QT had it as $2.99 this morning. I think it was $2.95 yesterday morning.

I don't worry about a nickel difference as much as my dad does. He'd go to the station that was a penny cheaper. He'd complain when prices in one town on our road trip was more expensive than another in the same state (by like a nickel or dime, yes).

Little badger was wise not to do the math and say "But dad, you're buying 10 gallons, so a penny difference only changes the price a dime!" Badger's older smarty brother, on the other hand, did not know when to keep his smarty mouth shut around his parents.

I often wonder if baby badger will be a smarty mouth like her mommy was (not to parents, but to many other adults)

As a former child smart *** who raised a smart *** daughter of his own, I'd say yes.

Bonus: Unlike me, baby badger also got breastfed exclusively for about 7 months, which studies show increase your smart a$$ery.

In other words, I'm doomed.

We traveled up through Kansas this weekend. Prices are higher there. I didn't tell them though. :D

Lots of folks pumping oil on their land though. Some damn good looking beef out there too.

That's what it is here in downtown Tulsa. A few stations have $2.98 but for the most part, $2.99.

I will not buy that ethanol crap at QT, I'll pay 10 or 15 cents more a gallon to get real gas.

Still $2.99 here... I wonder if they think that's the magic threshhold where people won't change their driving habits...

Well, since no oil-producing country (Iran) ever got around to their saber-rattling, self-destructive threats to close the Strait of Hormuz... I guess this crisis fizzled out before the oil company honchos decided to start gouging us... more.

I notice very little difference in the Mileage with it or with out it .
