Mike Stoops may have nightmares for years. He may need to seek counseling.We got worn out on D, and had nobody who could deal with T. Austin. As poor as the WVU defense was, we had too much difficulty with them. Most of the better WVU athletes are on their offense, and they score a bunch on most all teams. I contend our offense was a bigger problem than our defense, especially our pathetic run blocking..

We picked our poison never guessing that one guy might singlehandedly be able to beat us. I really think we went in expecting he and Bailey to be covered by corners most of the night, not coming out of the backfield. Plus, it looked like to me that our dline was getting held like crazy which opened up those huge lanes.

That Austin kid was pretty impressive to out-juke Jefferson all night. Jefferson, Harris, Hurst and Colvin took turns trying to bottle him up tonight but the kid just ran around all of them.

Our players and coaches have come to expect it, it seems, at least to some degree. They appear able to accept it, and play through it.
