Without trying to offend any mormans refer to their religious edict to answer that question. The religion is a bit out there for me anyway.

Does anybody but Jindal in the GOP realize that some people, especially young ones, rejected the GOP because it was tainted by the ignorance, buffoonery, and anti-rationalism of the social puritans on the far right? You don't have to give gifts when your opponent is seen as the Party of Stupid.

(Somebody post the pic of that dead horse being flogged.)

Yet it's proven that people with higher IQs very much tend to vote Republican. Obammy won not because the donks are the party of smart, but because the US is increasingly becoming the land of the stupid.

Do you really believe that the right wing wackos did not hurt Romney, especially with young voters? Those right wing wackos are the best example of your last assertion.

I'm not a fan of the right wing wackos, anymore than I am the lefty loonies. I wish the Republican party would for the most part learn to keep its nose out of social matters and concentrate on the economic side of the house.

Fill me in on the Obamaphone deal.

Its part of the cell phone "fee" you pay with your bill, they bundle the money and give low income people a phone for free (they pay no service, not sure on LD). It was originally intended to give people a land line so they could have communication with the world, call 911 and so on. It has since morphed into a cell phone and people now run adverts on TV getting people to sign up. Some of the largest "obama phone" providers were big contributors to the Obama campaign. These companies are given money for every subscription and there is some evidence that people have more than one phone. The "obama phone" moniker became famous for some SEIU lady in Cleveland/Cinncinatti being interviewed as to why she supported Obama and she said one reason was because he gave her a phone, an Obama phone... so I put it in "quotes" as people would recognize the program better.

I knew about the goofball phone lady. I understand it the program started in 1984 (Reagan) and expanded in 2008 (Bush II).
Not sure about whether you have the details right about what exactly gets subsidized and provided. The term gets tossed about quite freely. I;m sure many oppnenents are just as misinformed as the infamous free-phone lady.

I know the pool of money goes to providing a phone. Now whether it pays just for the phone or if it pays for service (I think) or long distance, I am not sure, and hopefully I stated that. This is something that is flying under the radar until Obamaphone lady...

Once again, here is a program that started out with good intentions. I mean, you should have a means to call 911 or get help. I think it was even mentioned people looking for a job should have a phone in order to look for work. No problems with that...it has morphed into something that most people would not be for today. Who thought these companies would spring up and get vasts sums of money for providing phones out of a pool of money for a program. There must be a **** load of money in that fund...

Uhh, duh...well, technically it started under Reagan and Bush re-upped it, probably to allow for cell phones as the original legislation was for land lines only. But, I haven't read the enabling legislation.

What to you is seen as the party of stupid is actually the party of successful business and responsible finances, as opposed to the (other)party of socialism, authoritarianism and incalculable corruption. If the young fools rejected the republicans compared to the democrats, it's due to their foolishness in listening to the democrat partisan media, and theiir public school corrupt and inaccurate indoctrination.

If you personally believe what you said, it's a crying shame. Our country could be even worse off than it appears to be.

How would GOP governors save the day...? Would they need to support amnesty for 11,000,000 illegals? Perhaps open borders? Maybe they should show their intellect by banning fracking like some new England governors...is that what you mean?

Perhaps a joint resolution to ban drilling in the Atlantic and pacific? There's just so many ways to show the youngsters how smart the party really is.
