Would you want to play LSU, Aggie, or Florida?

Well, if we have to play LSU, as long as it's *not* in Louisiana, I'm good with it.

Mentioned last night that by the looks of this loss by Bama....they might have doomed us with a date with aggie and a Big XII OU against a Big XII SEC Wannabe.

I'm with mark on the lsu thing.

Texas vs aTm...Mack gets stomped.

Saw an ESPN projection that put us in the sugar bowl with ALABAMA. Would LOVE to see that.

Last night during the broadcast they had OU against A&M in the Fiesta Bowl.

Honestly, I believe UT would do everything in their power NOT to play A&M in the Cotton Bowl or anywhere else. They have permanent scoreboard and they want to keep it . . . which they won't if they play A&M this year.

10 teams in this league, & according to Palm, 9 of them land in bowls. Sux to be KU......

I didn't think about the Scoreboard deal when I called "Mack gets Stomped" but that along with the idea that they would indeed get stomped and the lengths we know whorns would go to make sure they have scoreboard or bragging rights on a Team makes sense. I would imagine they would pay huge money to avoid the match-up.

We should definitely promote the match-up. :D

If ESPN is broadcasting the bowl, would they force the Whorns into it or block it? I could see where it could be a big ratings game but are they more concerned with "protecting the Longhorn brand".

Palm is smoking something. Baylor isn't likely to win 2 of 3 against K-State, Tech, and Pokey State. They'll probably go 1-2 which will leave them a win shy of bowl eligibility.

I seem to remember a story about how if there aren't enough teams to fill bowl slots that the threshold can be lowered.

There only aren't enough bids if we manage to pull the Fiesta slot by virtue of K-State being in the BCS Title Game. Also, our 8th bowl tie in is in it's final year, so they could potentially take a C-USA team that qualified instead of a Baylor that has 5 wins since they take the tie-in down the road.

The Cotton Bowl is one of only two bowl games to which ESPN/ABC doesn't have broadcast rights. Fox has the Cotton Bowl and CBS has the Sun Bowl. Everything else is on the WWL.
