I didn't want to ask this question when we were too much up or too down, but over the last ten years what team in Division I Football do we most closely resemble everything considered. Last 10 years only.

According to this, only Boise State has been better since 2000:

Obviously, it doesn't include 2011-13, but it's the closest I could find.

If it included the past three years, Bama would probably be in the middle of the pack.

I would say it would have to be Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech has almost always started the season with a lot of hype only to lose 2-3 games with regularity.

Now, that being said, Oklahoma is also the most successful program over the last 13 years. Sure Boise looks great, but look at their competition.


I know I am pretty rough on the program sometimes. That stems from some of the expectations the media and fan base has put on the program. But I damn sure appreciate the program today! Well, always, but even in down years under Stoops, we know we will be back!

For my part it's a tie for two teams, Ohio St. and Georgia.

I would have said bama but we beat them the last two times we played them and it pissed them off so badly they sold themselves to the Devil. We wouldn't do that. :D ;)

Couple years ago I was driving through Idaho on a Saturday. The BS pregame radio program was on the radio. FOR 5 HOURS! They hoopla'd on and on, whined and moaned a lot about getting no respect.
FOR 5 HOURS! They were playing.... wyoming.

The air is think in a lot of places in Idaho. See Boulder Co for an example.
