I say this because Americans are truly eager for hand outs and being lazy!

How Obama can even win re-election just shows how pathetic and stupid the people are in the inner cities!

But, I guess if you live off hand outs, you'll vote for the socialist!

With incredibly huge government corn subsidies, that we can't afford. Their economy depends on this; it makes no sense, raises the cost of food. Corn ethanol is a very bad system, that a Republican president would have been quick to dismantle.

We have reached that critical combination of liberals and takers.

So ethanol explains Wisconsin, Minnesota, NH?

Lets be honest Obama ran a better campaign and had a much better ground game. He made fewer mistakes and won.

Yeah, I sure was hoping for change. It's just bizarre that a POTUS with this economy could get re-elected.

American voters want the Nanny State. We are going to get what we deserve it appears.

But who is going to pay for it?

NH has pretty much always been a Dem state for the last 24 years (except for a razor thin margin in 2000) but Wisco hasn't voted for a Pub President in 28 years, Minnesota for 40... not to mention that those Minnesota brainiacs put Al Franken in one of their Senate seats. What a joke.

Yep. I voted a straight democrat ticket for the first time in my life. Before you jump on me many of our state races we unopposed. The Republican Party in Delaware is a mess. The moderates got tossed out and it has hurt them. I think they are trying to get their act together but it is hard. Our Democrats are fairly moderate. The Governor was a former senior exec with NEXTEL and Comcast. He has really done a good job and as a result our UE is low.

I will agree with that. There was an exit poll statistic that showed Obama received less than 40% of the vote from households that make over $50,000. That is a pretty telling statistic.

You want to know why Republicans lost? It's because they see the world through ^^^this^^^ totally screwed up and inaccurate lens. Sensible people who are not living in the right-wing echo chamber and drowning in its Koolaid (and not socialistas living on the dole either, thank very much) realize that this is a distorted world view that's based on fear-mongering and willful ignorance. (But of course, you are welcome to it!) If the GOP stopped regarding everyone who doesn't agree with every extreme right-wing loony position as "the enemy" ("takers moochers, commies etc") perhaps they would get some real and long-lasting support for their better ideas.

76% of those voters voted for a guy to be their representative who was worried that an island might capsize...

That qualifies as a sad night in American history all by itself.

What teachers took high school kids out of school to vote? Can you confirm that? By the way, why is it bad for 18 year olds to vote? Also, if young people and non-whites are not voting for the GOP, the GOP needs to change because they will just do worse and worse as demographics continue to shift in this country.

Trouble is what is passed off by Libs as "extreme" would only a few years ago have been considered mainstream. Somehow over a very short period in US history many of the things that would have been considered reprehensible are now not just considered ok but being passed off as people's rights. It is pure fantasy to think the population base of a country can slide into a baser existence and function at a high level as a country. It just doesn't work like that. Never has. I agree with John Adams when he said "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
