Oklahoma at West Virginia Football Kickoff Set for 6 p.m. CT on FOX

NORMAN — The Big 12 Conference announced on Monday that the football game between the University of Oklahoma and West Virginia University on Nov. 17 is slated to air at 6 p.m. CT/7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast nationally with Gus Johnson handling the play-by-play duties with analysis from Charles Davis, while Julie Alexandria reports from the sidelines.

The Sooners are 2-2 all-time vs. the Mountaineers. The initial Big 12 meeting between the two squads will also mark OU’s first-ever contest at West Virginia. The two clubs most recently met in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl with the Mountaineers claiming a 48-28 victory. OU hasn’t faced West Virginia in a regular season contest since the two teams squared off in Norman in 1982.

Even though WVU has taken a dive, they are precisely the kind of team that used to give OU fits with that offense as quick and dynamic as it is. Hopefully we don't go out there and fire off a six-point-kinda first half where we know we're better than that. One of the reasons this offense at OU was so good under Wilson was because of the fast starts they got on opponents. It's like KW always knew how to hit someone in the mouth right off the bat.
