ok, we have 110 kids on the roster..

obviously only 85 on scholly...
anyone know who ISN'T on scholarship? the 25 or so...

guess I see some small WR (5'6 165lb) small DE's or LBrs...

curious if they are just walk-ons.

Is Evans going to get a med RS?

We don't have 85 scholarship players either.

Something like 81.

There are quite a few walkons, preferred walkons, this season.

Yep, we have 81 scholarship players, broken down like this:

Freshmen: 18
Redshirt Freshmen: 9
Sophomores: 14
Juniors: 23
Seniors: 17

Quite a few walk-ons... do most of them hope for a chance to shine and play or just there to be on the team. What's the reality for those not on scholly?

(I have no idea so I'm just asking...)

Most walk-ons (especially at a school like OU) never see the field past practice. The NCAA allows you to dress as many as you want for home games (check out the next Ohio State home game and see how many players they have on the sidelines), but rarely do any of them travel.

Hard work pays off (and having some skill helps). Look no further than Jesse Paulson, he was a 3 year walk-on that earned a scholarship this year. So, there's always a chance.
