I think Finch was supposed to be in motion to take that snap
I also believe he forgot to get off the bench in time to be in on the play.

Yup. That cost us, what-- twelve yards? Like just about every other mistake, it wasn't necessarily unrecoverable, but it was also really, really unnecessary.

We make too damn many mental mistakes to be a national championship contender, and this isn't a new problem

Yeah, too many weak links. You gotta have a lot of athletes who can see the field and play "ahead" of the game to be successful in the long run. Landry can get hot for a drive or 2 but his mistakes will be our undoing in a competitive game. We need to win out. MNC gone. Big 12 champ gone - and we have won it on even numbered years since 2000.
