I'm not so sure. Even when the Huskers were much better than the whorns, the whorns seemed to win almost every time. The Huskers aren't that great now although they appear to be more consistent.

Plus didn't un-ranked Nebraska have to pull a trick out of their hat just to beat Northwestern?

Actually, a not so highly ranked Nebraska really beat a good UT team in '09.

Remember when UT finished 5-7 in '10? One of those 5 was in Lincoln against a team/fanbase that was out for blood to say the least. They just flat got in NU's head over the years. Anybody else remember this little gem?

As with Texas ATM, it's as much or more about the crap tu pulls off he field as it is who actually wins the games. Texas' arrogance has and will continue to be their downfall. It's a good thing DeLoss and Mack got their TV station so the collapse will be well documented.

Nebrasky lost its Texas pipeline by going to the B1G. Now who do they have to recruit besides cornfed midwestern beefy linemen? No wonder the B1G runs into the line so much with boring offenses. :P

Nebraska needs to find a way to start cheating with their "walk-on" program again. Oh, that's right, the NCAA closed that loop-hole.

Slow-motion objectively proves that the final offensive play ended with 1 second left. Not "another" second.

UT owned Nebraska much like KState owns Texas.

Exactly - for all our issues this year we are much better than the 2010 team that won in Lincoln.

Is Nebraska owned by Texas? Take our quiz!

1. Nebrasky and Texas have met 14 times since 1933. Which team has won more times?

2. Which team has won more when the game was played in Austin?

3. Which team has won more when the game was played in Lincoln?

4. Since Nebraska last national title in 1997, which team has won more often?

5. The teams once met in the Cotton Bowl, in 1974. Who won?

6. The teams have five Heisman winners between them. Which team has more?

7. The teams have 9 real national titles between them. Which team has more?

8. The greatest margin of victory in a game between the two was 26 points. Which team won that game, 26-0, in 1933?

Answers below!

1. Texas, winning 10, losing 4.
2. Texas. Nebraska only won one in Austin.
3. Texas. Nebraska only won one in Lincoln.
4. Texas has lost to Nebraska once in nine meetings since 1997. That loss was in 1999.
5. Nebraska won the 1974 Cotton Bowl, 19-3.
6. Nebraska has 3 Heismans (yes, Eric Crouch does count) and Texas has two.
7. Nebraska has 5 titles, Texas has 4.
8. Nebraska beat Texas 26-0 in 1933.

So, like OU-Texas, Texas has the head-to-head, but Nebraska wins in some other categories.

I feel sorry for the fans. Bet there is a huge "remember when" problem going on there. Like it or not, a lot of their identity was tied up in the Big 12.
I think they fit better with the Big 10 than Mizzou does in the SEC, for sure, but still are suffering from the move.

ATM in the SEC? Not too bad, to me.

It's a face saving move (and probably some money issues too) to stay in the B1G at this point, but I think we'd welcome them back with open arms if they ever decided the B1G had too many Texases... yknow, schools with 100K+ stadium capacity, more big money donors and political influence than Huskers will ever have themselves (because if they did, don't you think they would have elected Dr. Oz governor instead of bringing him back as their temporary AD?)

I think it's funny how often the Red River Rout has been on the Whorn network this week. I hope their recruits take second, third, and fourth looks.
