Broyles made it look easy... shucked his defender and was wide open in the endzone. With three catches, 51 yards and a TD... he just made his team aware of his potential so I see more targets to him in the upcoming games.

Good job, Ryan.

If you mean the one right after he made his first catch, I don't think he was in the game. I know he wasn't on the third down.

Good job, Ryan.

Especially with Burleson being out for the year now with a broken leg.

With Burleson out, the Lions will turn to Titus Young and Ryan Broyles in their three-receiver set, two players they spent high draft picks on the last two years with little return so far.

Broyles, a second-round pick out of Oklahoma this year, caught his first three NFL passes Monday for 51 yards and scored the Lions’ only touchdown with 30 seconds to play.

Young, a second-round pick out of Boise State last year, has been one of the most disappointing Lions so far this season after a strong training camp, but he caught a season-high six passes for 81 yards Monday.

“We’ve got guys that can step in and make plays,” Stafford said. “I thought Broyles did a good job tonight, kind of getting thrown into the action and kind of in a tough spot. We’re going through all our two-minute offense and he hasn’t gotten a lot of reps at that. But I thought he made some plays, and Titus had a good game. Titus was working the whole game trying to get open and doing a good job of getting open and making some catches.

I'm glad someone else noticed that. On the little underneath out route? Wide. Open.

I needed a wide receiver to cover a starter's bye, so I picked him up.

If I lose this week, I'm playing against NP, so at least one of us will win :)

this is one of those cases where it was better to let him heal and learn the offense while Burleson played. I'm more comfortable with him having almost a calendar year to heal up from his ACL than I would have a month ago.

I was cheering for Ryan even though that TD catch made my FFL team lose...

too bad it was when Detroit was down 13-0 with 36 seconds left so he couldn't celebrate it some more :(

Hopefully after this game, the Lions will be using him more. Cause right now, besides Megatron, they have no threats at WR. Broyles could definitely be that number 2 guy! Hopefully they throw to him more!

More importantly, the guy in front of him is out for the season with a knee injury, so they don't have much choice.

damn tin tin, did you upset some of our regular posters or something? :D

I fully expect him to get thrown to, if for no other reason than to add some integrity to the opposing defenses that do nothing but cover megatron, then pray that Suh doesn't stop their offense when they finally get off the field
