So the old replacement is now being replaced by the first original, who might not be as good as the original replacement? :bi_polo:

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma State starting quarterback J.W. Walsh will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury that he was able to play through while throwing for a career-high 415 yards in a 31-10 victory over Iowa State on Saturday.

Coach Mike Gundy said Sunday night that Walsh will miss the rest of the season and likely be replaced by freshman Wes Lunt, who had won the starter's job during spring practice only to be replaced by Walsh when he was hurt in the third game of the season.

Gundy called it an "amazing" performance that Walsh was able to complete the game against Iowa State after being hurt in the first half. Gundy believes Walsh might have been hurt within the first 10 plays of the game but never came out.

The Cowboys host TCU next Saturday.

Hopefully Lunt is ready to go this week. There's a reason that he was named QB1 though.

Hate to hear that about Walsh though. Everything I'd heard sounded like he's a great kid and was out doing his best every game. Plus he's a big reason we got Josh Stewart away from AnM.

Is there a third option if Lunt can't go?

That's too bad about the injury. Hopefully he will have a full recovery and perhaps he can work on his interview skills.

Also, this is no good for us because we really need the Pokes to beat k-state. I'm afraid the type of injury Lunt has can be re-aggravated with a decent tackle.
