My dad was Notre Dame Class of '28, my brother was ND class of '53. I went to the 1956 OU/ND game in SouthBend that year with my Dad (he had season tickets to ND but because of his health he didn't go to many games), I was 12 years old and I still remember that game, primarily because I didn't get to go to many games with him. I remember OU kicking ND butt, 40-0 but the ND fans stayed the whole game and yelled for their team the entire game, but, most of all I remember being with my DAD--he died five years later. This will be a truly memorable game, If you have a chance take your son to this game, he will never forget it.
