Obama won in the sense that he rebounded higher from his disaster of a first debate.

Romney had some great runs and a couple of fumbles. On economic issues, jobs, deficit, energy, etc he scored very well. I think he nailed the "how I am different from Dubya" - except he forgot the "No Child Left Standing" horror movie that Dubya directed and produced.

Romney fumbled the Libya question.

He had stuck his head so far up the Sheriff Joe's *** during the primaries, he sounded disingenuous on immigration reform.

On China bashing, Romney sounds like a old school union democrat. Maybe that's his Ohio strategy.

Libs are gonna think the liar in chief won. We are going to think the next President won. It was probably pretty close to a tie.

A tie is a win for Romney. He didn't need to win. The liar in chief needed to win in a very big way. He failed to do so. In that regard, Romney won.

There's little denying that, though I'm sure that won't stop our enlightened libs here.

Random anti-candidate comments I've seen on facebook so far:

A KNOCKOUT PUNCH BY OUR PRESIDENT , He called Romney on his dispecable, opportunist and unstatesman-like attacks about the Benghazi tragedy. And made a fool of him on Romney caring about 100 %.

I've noticed liberals tend to get really excited any time Democratic candidates are not hesitant or apologetic. Just because they are being aggressive doesn't mean the voters are buying it (case in point, Edwards 2008 and Dean 2004). This debate probably produced a little Youtube porn Democrats can mentally masturbate to when the Elizabeth Warren clip stops working for them, but I'd bet money that it isn't altering the trendlines of the past several weeks.

Well America, if my babies start toting an AK47....send me to jail. It's my fault I guess for not giving them a two parent home.

Why the F is Hannity hosting the post debate time for FOX? This is not a time for an editorial dushbag. Fox normally does a great job but this sucks donkey balls. watching cnn now....even though they suck also.

So far much different initial numbers than the last Debate.

The polls I've seen (from CNN)
46% say Obama won
49 - 47 Obama can handle Foreign Policy better

but ...

economy 51 Romney better
taxes Romney won (don't remember the %)
deficit Romney won (don't remember the %)
overall better leader Romney won (don't remember the %)

The internals say Romney won some of the most important issues.

Do you mean Obama/Crowley won by 46%?

She certainly interjected herself into the Benghazi thing big time, and was wrong along with Obama. Pretty critical issue for her to interject herself into. I wonder why? hmm

A fair moderator would have stayed out of it. Instead she repeated the lie for Obama when he asked her to say it again. How nice of her.

i was going by the Total 100% that the first debate poll on this website did. I think it was Badger that did it the next morning. All I remember was I was busy the night of the 1st one and saw the poll the next day. Since it was so one sided I voted it was a tie and then had some drunk try to jump me with a blackjack within 10 seconds of the vote. After that someone else followed with another tie vote. It was done in jest but of course everything that it said in this forum that people don't agree with will lead to the single vote that Romney needs to get elected so we should take this all very seriously.

It's hilarious. Your best work ever. Also proof this forum was a real bad idea. You should just ban people for talking politics. And I mean anyone that posts in this forum starting tomorrow. It would be a fair and balanced way of letting everyone know you are flushing this little project down the toilet.

Maybe you could replace it with a nice Religion Forum? LOL

FWIW, here's how I scored it:

Answering of questions: zero points each. Neither one of them did the audience the courtesy of answering any of the questions posed; instead they simply took off and addressed whatever point happened to be skittering around inside their heads at the moment. A big 'You're Both Dooshbags'.

Following Format Rules: zero points each. Neither one of them seemed to understand what the little green to red timer thingie means. Another big 'You're stupider than my Irish Setter' to both.

Shutting down of windbags: zero points to Candy Crowly (or whatever). You have the switch, lady, cut the bastards off if they run over.

Inability to be ready to ask questions: zero points to the morons in the audience. You hadn't been told you'd be called on? I did not tune in to watch you straighten your jacket, fish around for your reading glasses, adjust your crotch or whatever. You've got 70 million people waiting on your dumbass; be ready to go when the camera cuts over to you.

Pulling 'numbers' out of your ***: One million points to both for pulling conveniently on point and supportive data out of thin air. We will ignore the fact that none of those numbers had any grounding in objective reality. But hey! neither have any of our national budgets for generations. Shiite people, this was more embarrassing than watching high school debaters 'fudge' their way out of corners.

In short, why don't we call an end to these travesties, set up two giant screen teevees with campaign ads running in 30 minute loops and let two chimps play with the volume controls? We'd get about as much out of it.

It was a hot steaming mess that made anyone associated with it in any way a bit diminished by virtue of that association.

Even though I'm a pub, and agree with Hannity politically, I also agree with your statement. He is annoying, and I only watch his show if I like a guest that he has on. He repeats the same talking points, so I never learn anything from his show. Greta's show is getting better and better.

As for the debate, I felt that Obama gave his most leftist followers what they wanted which will help stop the bleeding for him, but he didn't win over any undecideds. Half of his answers sounded like talking points; the other half sounded like he was making them up as he went along. He never really answered the question that was being asked. The softball questions that he's been receiving for the past 3+ years have reallly put him at a disadvantage in these debates.

In both debates, Romney has sounded more presidential, and more like someone who can be trusted on the economy and national security. Obama sounds more like someone who I'd like to go have a drink with at a bar.

Re: the undecideds...this certainly isn't scientific but I saw two separate interviews
with undecideds after the debates and both said that last night's debate convinced
them to vote for Obama...one in New York and one in Ohio. On the other hand a
couple that were interviewed STILL hadn't made up their minds. Based on that very
small sample I'd say Obama made some progress. What puzzles me is that anyone
exists in Ohio that is still undecided...been somewhere around $30 million spent by
both sides in that state.

No comment about "sounding presidential".

I'm getting writer's cramp from filling out ballots.

Those folks in other states who are undecided send me their absentee ballots and $25 and I fill out their ballots for them.

It takes the pressure of deciding who to vote for off them and I make a little scratch on the side.

Any of you out there interested, lemme know.

The proof will be in the pudding as to who actually won the debate.

The first debate clearly went to Romney. Why? Because he went from trailing slightly to being ahead and has remained so to varying degrees.

This debate will not change anything in the polls I predict. Therefor, a wash. Neither truly won.

In the end, Romney came out the better of the two though, because he is the leader and will remain so.

Obama has one more chance to sway people. This didn't do it.

Advice...

Why don't we all just stop it?

Fact is, and yes greg I'm pointing at you here. Some of us have tried to let bygones be bygones, but you just continue to be butthurt about something. Not exactly sure what it is either.

You and I both have had out bouts. Have many years. But I've always thought of you as a friend and not an adversary, until here lately. I know I have some things I can't take back. But I also tried to apologize and stop the bull****. Only to have you come at me like a bull in a china shop.

Like I said, not sure all what happened between you and vet. But you also know vet had your back for a very long time. And you also know he wouldn't just be an ******* out of the blue. Something had to have happen. I don't know who is at fault, nor do I care.

That said Greg. Not matter what is said between us here, I've always hoped for the best and prayed for you and your lovely family.

Finally, sometimes it doesn't hurt to admit you have a problem or were the problem. Then work to correct it. So many of you old friend from here basically tell you the same thing and you thumb your nose at all of us.

That's all I'm saying on this matter. So you can reply or not. There won't be any further replies from me on this issue.

God bless and Boomer Sooner!
