So I went back to look at exactly where Bird was lined up on that play.

Looked like he was a down lineman at the very end of the formation vs an OT. Colvin was outside of him on the WR.

Bird hit the OT, shucked him. Then surged forward to hit the fullback. Shucked him and then did a form tackle on the ball carrier. He made it look so effortless I wonder if they could utilize him more on the edge when we need 5 down against running teams.

Btw, Colvin was held so badly in the end zone that it should have been a safety regardless...

Agree> Jaydan Bird is a hoss. He did good last year when Wort was hurt & I'd sure like to see him in the lineup more. He's a quick starter and has an instinct for the ball.He's relentless.

I saw that! OL grabbed him around his neck from behind and tackled him right in front of the official and no flag was thrown!
