I've lived through the 63-14 games, and several like them, but today was the most Sooner dominated game I've ever witnessed. Forget the 4th quarter texas stats, they are truly garbage numbers. OU thoroughly dominated both sides of the ball today. It's great to be a Sooner!

I totaly agree, I think we get better from here on out. Only easy game left in Knasas the rest we will have to play like we have the last two games. I think we made the rest of the confernce take notice today.

I agree. My attitude and expectations for this team have changed a lot since the KSU game.

Hmmmm.. well I also enjoyed 1972 (27 to 0).. 1973 (52 to 13).. 1978 (38 to 10).. 1986 (47 to 12).. 1987 (44 to 9).. 2000 (63 to 14).. 2003 (65 to 13).. 2004 (12 to 0).. last year (55 to 17) and then still yet once again this year. LOL

I will be truthful, I was giving this team up for dead. My expectations have done a 180 after these last two games. This team could be special.

I had something happen this morning and didn't get to see much of the game from 13-2 till the 3rd qtr. I then just went Home knowing the OUtcome and turned on the replay. Stuff Happens.

Anyway....these announcers from fexas 2 OU 6 really get to eat some crow about fexas being something special....

Those were all great, although I was too young to enjoy the '72 game, but today was absolute domination. In the 63-14/65-13 games, it seemed like texas at least competed for a possession or two...not today. They were owned from the first snap of the game.

Dominated the game so much that the second (and a few third string) players got some playing time and the Texas second string QB got some garbage time in against our backups. Good to get the younger players some time in the game, especially the Red River Rivalry.

Most were reserving judgement until after this game. I understand why you would wait but why not until we play TCU? ;)

Beatdowns are sweet, but to my mind there's nothing better than an unranked OU upsetting the ranked Horns (1982) or breaking Horn hearts in a close game where they thought they stood a chance (1985).

That was just a first class beat down from the onset, and I loved every second of it.

Don't get me wrong OU dominated today but the 2000 63-14 game was 42-0 at half. Texas absolutely did nothing that day. At least today you could say Texas returned a blocked PAT and had a pick 6. I like all of these 60+ point wins by OU but 2000 will go down in my memory as the largest dismantling by OU.

Odd similarity to the 2000 game, I was up in Denver visiting friends the weekend of that game. Another 10:00 am start like today, this was my first OU-Texas game living in Denver after moving from Austin.

Another thing about Whorn fans, they like to claim that Austin is a great college town and the Whorns rule everything, if that was the case ACL Fest wouldn't be held on the same weekend as the OU-Texas game like it was this year for the first time. I know many there who chose music over the game. The media there are the only ones that seem to be obsessed with all things Whorn anymore.

Yeah, I was heading to the hookem board on Austin360.com to check out the meltdown and noticed they had tons of ACL stuff on their front page.

You should hear the pre-game talk on the LWN "Texas Gameday" show about how the old players telling the new about past losses and wins trying to get the kids fired up.

Whatever they did....

They should never do again. I think they should keep the LWN. This is some humerous stuff. It might be better than A360, whorefans or shaggybeaver as they are seriously trying to make this a legitimate type of "College Gameday" show.

I will be truthful, I was giving this team up for dead. My expectations have done a 180 after these last two games. This team could be special. They looked pathetic, screwing up so many ways, and with Bad Landry showing up against K State, to bottom things out, it looked bleak. Then, all of a sudden, we start playing pretty well against sandaggy, and looking very good today...IS TX THAT BAD?!?! I sure don't want to see Macky-Clappy lose his job.

This will be one of the biggest reasons why this year's beat down will rank among the top few ever. 2000 still remains as #1 on my list because it heralded the beginning of our greatness in that amazing 13-0 National Title season, but today was pretty special. I think we've seen a fanbase on the ledge turn the corner and if that didn't capture the attention of the nation, I don't know what else could have.

And I am still enjoying the thrill of what our boys did today at 12:30 a.m.

The entire game is posted at soonerfans.com if anyone wants even more laughs late into the night.

Unfortunately for me, I was not there for 2000, but 2003 did produce this bit of video gold.
