Had fun last night at the TU Game vs UTEP.

Tonight it's Bixby vs Edison. Good times. Beautiful night before OU sends fexas packing tomorrow.

Right now it's Refsby. Still 7-0 but our D sacked the QB for a 20 yard loss and the Refs called it a personal foul. Two more calls on our Coach and we are just trying to keep them out of the EZ. It didn't work. 14-0. Awful calls.

Anyway, Hicksby had their own TV Replay. I think it's better than Baylor.

We could play them a lot better than this. IMO the Coach let his emotions affect the kids. We've had a couple get hurt and carried off the field now. I hate that.

One more quarter and we're out of here.

Well Ponca City is playing their archrival, Enid.

Enid leads 14-0 heading into the 4th. Crappiest refs I've ever seen at a high school game.

The game is getting chippy now. More battlles when football isn't being played, if you know what I mean.

But as I type this, the refs finally get involved to stop the Enid extra activity. Two straight personal fouls vs. Enid. And just the 6th penalty against Enid. Whereas PC has like a thousand...lol.


Ponca City sucks!

Ponca city comes back and wins their first game of the season, beating Enid 21-20.

I was lamenting on FB to my classmates about how far Edison has fallen since our class graduated in 1993. During our four years: Playoffs 3 of four seasons (missed in 90 when we had no QB to speak of), playoff wins in all 3 playoff seasons and a district title with a perfect regular season in 1992.

20 years later, we're cannon fodder for 6A-2. <sigh>

It wasn't much better for our adopted hometown Sand Springs last night. I told my wife that an "Alpha Whiskey" was imminent with Union coming to town. I was right: 59-7.

(BTW - I see the Bixby refs/umps haven't changed one bit in 20 years. ;)

My HS Watonga won every district title in the 90s outside of 2 I believe, played for the state title 4 times. Since then its a toss up if we even make the playoffs.

have faith in the Eagles. Even though its tough for them this year, I see a bunch of folks who never quit last night and I really think they will begin to fit into the 6A field of Monsters that we now have to face. It may be there needs to be Coaching Changes or more Parental involvement but I think they will get there eventually.
