Darrell Shepard, former OU quarterback

“Coach. I remember back in 1977 you told me if I came to Oklahoma University I would become an All American. Needless to say, I didn't take your advice. What a big mistake. God bless.”

Do anybody understand this? Sheppard came to OU.

Well, he did play for a couple of years at Houston before he transferred to OU.

And, regarding Shepard, he was involved in some sort of recruiting scandal that led to his transfer, but I don't remember the specifics.

The one from Randy Galloway was interesting.

I thought the one from Larry Lacewell was funny.

The one from Randy Galloway was interesting.
I heard him on his radio show admit that he was too hard on Switzer when he was at the Cowboys. Mainly it was because he wasn't Jimmy Johnson and definitely wasn't the same type of coach. He said that he took it out on Switzer when Jerry Jones was the one who should've received his wrath.

J.C. Watts, former OU quarterback

“The man that talked me out of leaving the team my freshman year and then created an air of expectancy in my life. Whether I've been in the ministry, politics, business or athletics, because of what Coach Switzer taught me, I have always expected to win.”

i like that..."air of expenctancy"....
