Let's take a break from the political banter a bit for a few important reminders:

Friday, Oct. 12 (the day before OU-Texas) is your deadline to register in the state of Oklahoma. You can download a registration application from the Oklahoma Election Board here. (http://www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Registration/Voter_Registration_Application_Form/)

If you are not sure if you are registered to vote, or have other questions in regards to voter registration, your FAQ page is here. (http://www.ok.gov/elections/)

Oct. 31 is the last day to request an absentee ballot.

Regardless of the status of any ACLU lawsuit, you currently need identification to vote. More information on this is here. (http://www.ok.gov/elections/Candidates_&_Elections/Facts_about_Proof_of_Identity_for_Voting_in_Oklaho ma/) However, if you don't have photo ID, you can use the voter ID card that they mail you when you register to vote.

Nov. 2,3, and 5 is in-person absentee voting at your county election board. Info on the county election boards is here. (Restraining order stops vendor from performing teeth whitening at fair)

Nov. 6 is the general election. Polls will be open statewide 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
