Thanks, I nearly got burned on this last year and had a lot of trouble finding an open gate. My advice to others is, if you are thinking Saturday morning it is too early to leave your hotel, then leave right then for the game!

We leave the hotel between 6:30 and 7 and still always get jammed up in traffic. Hate it.

You forgot to mention that everyone needs to avoid the I-75 and 635 interchange. Though it is supposed to be the exit ramps from 75 onto westbound 635 that are being reduced to one lane, I would anticipate some back up as people try to figure out how to go westbound.

My suggestion. Start drinking early.

Ya can't drink all day unless you start first thing in the morning!

Just get drunk on the West End and stay up all night and walk drunk to the game................It's quite the experience !

If you get there before 7AM is there a line to get into the parking lots? What is the best time to get there? I plan on being early, but anyone have any other suggestions for a first timer to the red river rivalry?

Do they allow helicopters to drop people off?
