We need to get this joker out of office and get someone in there that wants to "be" President and not just have the title.

Barack Obama: Slacker-in-Chief
He has higher priorities than attending to domestic and foreign policy.

By Deroy Murdock

Concerning the fun parts of his job, Barack Obama resembles the Energizer Bunny. If there are crowds to wow, entertainers to schmooze, or donors to pitch, Obama is Johnny on the Spot. Too bad his sparks stop flying when it comes time for the serious heavy lifting of the presidency.

This phenomenon’s most chilling example involves Obama’s national-security-related Presidential Daily Brief (PDB). As the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) calculated, and Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen first reported, Obama attended only 43.8 percent of his PDBs between January 23, 2009 (three days after his inauguration), and May 31, 2012. Available nearly every day, the PDB allows the commander-in-chief to hear directly from top intelligence professionals about the latest threats to U.S. safety. These experts are on hand to answer questions, hear suggestions, and otherwise help Obama foil America’s enemies.

But Obama has had higher priorities.

According to GAI’s data, which was culled from the official White House calendar and Politico’s news coverage of that schedule, Obama chose to skip his PDBs and, instead, simply read his briefing book. This is a bit like studying one’s chest X-rays at home, having spurned a radiologist’s offer to interpret them and answer pertinent questions. In this sense, Obama quietly reviewed his national-security X-rays alone during 56.2 percent of the time GAI analyzed. In 2011, Obama missed 61.6 percent of his PDBs.

Obama skipped his PDBs between September 5 and 11, the entire week before the American consulate in Benghazi suffered an Islamic terror attack that killed U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, technical officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Who knows if a briefer’s classified utterance, or a particularly astute question from Obama, might have triggered tighter security in Benghazi and perhaps prevented the murders of four Americans?

Even worse, as Thiessen reports, Obama postponed and eventually skipped his PDB on the day after these planned and deliberate assassinations. This liberated Obama for a truly indispensable responsibility that day. As American embassies burned brightly throughout the Islamic world, Obama jetted off on Air Force One for a campaign fundraiser in America’s least solemn city — Las Vegas.

At last, three days after the Benghazi bloodshed, and nine days after his last PDB, September 14’s White House schedule shows Obama sitting still for a proper briefing. Perhaps the scrutiny of Thiessen and other critics finally has inspired Obama to attend his PDBs with the regularity of his predecessors.

Obama this week met with exactly zero world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, not least of them Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants to stop Iran from redecorating Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with mushroom clouds. Obama found time, however, to serve as “eye candy” for Whoopi Goldberg and the cast of The View.

Obama has shirked his domestic obligations, too. He reportedly has held just two Cabinet meetings this year — on January 31 and July 26. While claiming to be totally focused on reducing naggingly high unemployment, Obama has not met with his Jobs Council since January. White House press secretary Jay Carney explained, “The president’s obviously got a lot on his plate.” This has included a $38,000-per-plate fundraiser at the Manhattan home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker and golf, of which Obama has enjoyed some 104 rounds as president.

Obama’s dereliction of duty would be bad enough if he were a latter-day Eisenhower: a well-respected, perhaps feared, world leader enjoying prosperity at home and peace (or at least a manageable Cold War) overseas. Instead, Obama grows increasingly comical, the domestic economy languishes, and the American flag has become an alternative fuel source across the Middle East. Nonetheless, Ike Jr. parties like it’s 1959.

Perhaps Obama has devolved from president to slacker-in-chief in an elaborate display of empathy for America’s 12.5 million unemployed. With so many citizens not working, Barack Obama may reckon, why should he?

More light shed upon The Socialist. He hates the U.S and he only cares about himself and his image.

I only complain when someone floods the Board with cut and paste jobs.

Kinda like what you're starting to do, but not nearly like some others.

Hey, I'm not the Bored Police. Have at it.

Just don't think you're gonna sway anyone's vote. It's your time and effort.

He has been doing it for months. I called him out on it and others followed. He posts these articles and then never responds back to them. That response above does not count. That is simply self-justification. He thinks posting right wing blog articles just makes us think. It makes me think....that he is an idiot who can't think for himself.

18 days after the attack and the FBI, which should have jurisdiction in this case of a terrorist attack on American soil is still 400 miles away and haven't been to the consulate. Any evidence that existed is surely lost.. Hell, CNN found the ambassador's journal...

Our foreign policy is in shambles.

I may will start loading up the BB to shed light onto the sheeple that think The Socialist is good.

I don't think it is wrong to post articles that illustrate points you are trying to make. They can generate interesting discussions sometimes. Not every time, but sometimes.

Posting these things also gives fuel to those of us that are trying to sway voters in our circle of friends and acquaintances. With as many as this type of thing that I have seen about Obama on various boards and via emails, I find it hard to believe that he has a chance of getting reelected. If only the Obama supporters would read them to educate themselves about how poor a president he has been, and more importantly, how dangerous another term will be for this country.

So far the only shocking thing that I have read about Romney is that he is rich and that, as a business man, he outsourced jobs to another country. I laugh at both of those things of course. The fact that Obama, who has never held a private sector job in his life, criticizes someone that has, on how they have run their business. This is like a man giving a women advice on how to handle child birth. Not a clue.

But, Obama is diverse, mixed race, has lived with lots of foreign culture, smoked dope with all types and colors of people, listens to R&B music, rolls up his sleeves, plays basketball, broke barriers with government help and is supported by people that live in mansions in LA.

The Socialist is a sham, a liar and a thief. The Lamestream media is culpable in this and they should go out of business. I would revoke every press credential to every government agency and make them revet and i would only give credentials to the nonliberals. That is only to balance out the damage the press has done for 30+ years.

President Obama really needs to stop these attacks here in the US. Those PDBs are obviously costing lives unnecessarily.

Bush's Alcoholic 12 step program and the amount of cocaine he snorted was obviously overlooked as well as his Record in the Reserves and was protected by some people who live in mansions that aren't in LA.

The fact that President Obama won not having a Father who had been Vice President for Ronald Reagan and then won 1 Presidential Term before screwing the pooch and a guy from Arkansas that screwed everything that moved besides his own Wife still got 2 terms as POTUS before we again tried a Bush for 8 years before we decided to put a Young Black Senator rather than a Military Veteran in the White House doesn't make him unqualified or a socialist or even a Kenyan. It makes him the guy that Americans picked as their POTUS. He's about to win another 4 fours years.

Whatever clue some of you think he doesn't have....I think that it's becoming really obvious that Micheal Steel had a lot more of a clue than Reince Priebus.

You may be inclined to promote Fear and the Idea that President Obama is spending us into a hole our children's children might not be able to pay off but really you would be better served to get Romney and his #2 to start really addressing real answers that will create real Hope and Real Change. I say that as it got President Obama elected....it could work for the GOP. Someone has to inspire people. Presently the Democrats are doing a better job of it. Republicans need to quit trying to win presidential Elections by using Voter Protection Laws during an Election Year. It really further divides our Country and really disillusions Voters especially when it was just a few years ago when John Kerry lost a Presidential Election due to some hanging chads.

The GOP is hurting itself by using these tactics instead of challenging voters to read and listen to their solutions instead of their fears.

Nothing wrong with posting articles. IMO, it is wrong to post articles and never respond to any of the posts. That is Mazeppa's MO.

I'd like to be clear here....

I'm not trying to sway anyone to vote either way. I post stuff that I think is funny or strange or hypocritical especially if they are from the GOP as I can't believe what has come of the Republican Party I knew growing up as a fan of Alex P. Keaton. I love how that kid could tell his liberal parent's why their party was going to get their *** beat. I just can't believe that things have turned so 180 since then.

Also....I like Samuel Jackson and his Muther F*cking Republicans on a Plane Video. :D

If you post an article, aren't you tacitly agreeing to that article?

Is a "I think this is true" type post, something that adds value?

Not if it's a conservative article.

It can be any article but when you post 4 or 5 of them at a time and then never bother to respond to someone posting about it then you aren't really contributing anything. I would like to discuss these with you. Instead now that I know you won't respond I don't even bother reading them. I read other's articles. I may not agree, but I will read if the topic seems interesting.

ok, so those that say the INFORMATION about % of missed meetings is BS...show me? If those are true numbers EVERYONE has to have a WTH thought. The President missing those meetings about national security....THAT is his job! SO, if you can discount those numbers please do so rather than just saying it's conservative bias bs. I really would like to know.
