Yeah, been there since the first game. I believe Stoops said it was to cut down on teams stealing signs or some such.

Why would people have a problem with this? Just because other teams do it? We do lots of things other teams do. This is just an implementation detail and if it is useful, great. Fans will have no data to judge whether it is useful, but the coaches should have plenty.
