4000 households earn more than $1000000/yr. Source is US Tax Council.

The report that I read broke down the 47% by earnings....<$25k/yr,
$25k-$50K, $50k-$100k/yr and over $100k. It pointed out that the
over $100k/yr included the 4000 at $1M. That stat amazes me, then
I sat and figured how one could earn that amount and shelter the income
from income tax. Speaks well of the tax accounting business...similar to
Romney not claiming some of his charitable contributions to keep his
bracket in the 13%-14% range
