Oklahoma either needs to be an all-out passing attack and bury teams in the first half like they used to OR return to being a predominant rushing attack and recruiting a different style of QB along with different offensive lineman. Trying to be balanced is limiting the offense and is burning clock, which is playing into KSU's hands.

L Jones is pretty darn good. He has one really bad play.....the missed TD to the open TE in the end-zone. He wasn't exactly set up for success on the fumble play that everyone is biatching about.

It's important to keep the opposing defense on their heels. When we are predictable the chances of success decrease considerably.

He had plenty of time to get rid of the damn football, especially as a fifth year senior!!! Landry either makes great plays OR critical mistakes. The problem is, his great plays never make up enough for his critical mistakes. He's the most winningest QB in Oklahoma football history because of playing all four years and Broyles catching all of his bad passes and turning them into something. He should probably throw to Shepard as he has been doing and try to rekindle that mojo. Shepard is big time.

A friend and I were just discussing him - it seems like OU's quarterback skill is inversely propotional to the guy's mobility. Heupel, Bradford and White (post knee injuries) were all iron lawn deer in the pocket and were all elite passers. Jones and Hybl had a little bit more mobility, but still not a lot, and were good but not great passing the ball. Bomar & Thompson were the best runners but neither was very accurate. White really seems to be a great example of this inverse relationship as he was a zone read / option guy early on but wasn't very trusted to make key throws ... and once he got hurt and couldn't move around much, he transformed into a badass in the passing game.
