Paraphrased from article.

1). Stop the run
2). Jump ahead early; force KSU to become one dimensional
3). Establish the run
4). Win the turnover battle
5). Come up big on third down on both sides of the ball
6). Keep Landry Jones off of his back
7). Take advantage of Home field advantage

To add to that I also think the Sooners should also start utilizing Blake Bell more. I don't believe he has any touchdowns this season yet. He was effective at moving the chains last season. Would be nice to get him more reps during games.

I think if the Sooners can score more points than the opposition, that will increase their chance of winning. That's what Blake Griffin says anyway.

I think these are the keys to just about any victory.

Do what we did last year, except for the injuries.

If we can accomplish these keys, we will win every game this year.

Pretty sure this works for any team, any game, anywhere. Bleacher Report...when you're really, really bored and all the other sites are down.

That shoulda put in there sack the QB and score touchdowns.

If this person knew anything about OU/KSU or Bill Snyders game winning philosophy in general, then #6 would have been #1.

Steady solid pressure on Calvin Klein is essential.

Blitzing a safety, a LB, anyone to keep him guessing.

Defensive Linemen need to hold their holes and keep Klein from pick and choosing where he's gonna run with it. The Kitties also have a pretty decent RB that needs respect as well.

I'm not really worried about K-State's passing game. They want to keep it on the ground on time-consuming controlled drives.

Mike Stoops is gonna earn his pay Saturday.

5-0

8. If you must kick a field goal... make it.
9. Get defense off of the field quickly.
10. Pressure the quarterback.
11. Don't give up special teams scores.
12. If you must gamble... win every time.
13. Don't let the bad guys block your punt
14. Never punt
15. Always go for two.
16. Recover any onside kick attempt.
17. Score a touchdown on every punt or kickoff return.
18. Nag on the assistant coaches
19. Boo the starting quarterback when passes are dropped or tipped.
20. Always claim the backup QB would have made that play with his hands cuffed and his eyes blindfolded.
21. Don't get injured.
22. Hope their star players have a Chase Daniel-type of day against OU.
23. Hope Grampa Synder has to go to bed on time... you know... about the middle of the second quarter.
24. Lather, rinse, repeat against Tceh and Tejas.

That is seven points or keys to win any game, not just KSU.

Four of those seven things can be handled if the O line steps up. That's all I want. O line steps up to give Landry some time. Maybe an extra second or two will let him get into a rhythm with his catching dudes.

Is that so much to ask?

Yesterday, I watched the 2000 Big XII championship game (which I remember freezing at), and Josh Huepel ran a go ahead touch down, and was DETERMINED to win the game! If that attitude is on the field we WILL win! I know some of the plays that Josh kept the ball and ran, was probably not the play called, but he knew that third and 2 is easier to get than third and 10!! Leadership is the key on both sides of the ball.

The further away we get from that 2000 team the more I'm convinced they possessed something we'll never see again. The team worked on a magic you just don't ever see. Even our other championship teams from the past didn't have what the 2000 team had.

I'd love to see it again. I just don't think we will.
