They must feel inadequate in the sec, Apparently they are now claiming 1997 and 2010 Conf championships, and they are claiming 2 NCs from before 1930 in their stadium, per Curtis Fitzpatrick on the Sports animal. Pathetic!

Did they float this idea out there verbally at some point earlier, or is the first people knew of it them putting it up on the stadium?
Heh, they're claiming the 2010 Big 12 title, as well. I guess 1998 was a pretty long time ago, and the future isn't looking promising.
Texas claims those, but at least they qualify it

Technically the Big 12 paid for the rings, but yes we did receive them.

In 1997, the Aggies finished 6-2 in conference play and faced the 8-0 Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big XII title game. They lost to the Big Red by a score of 54-15, but that didn’t stop them from claiming their Big 12 South title as a full-fledged conference championship.
If they were still members of the BigXII they wouldn't have had the sack to do this, but now that they've bailed, they can put this crap on their sign and the BigXII could give a flip.
I'd love to see the BigXII Commish send them a "Cease and Desist" letter.

They ARE embarrassing! Always have been! Remember when they played the Krispies (Rice) in the 70's and their dog had died over the summer? Rice band played "Where Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?". MOB had to have police escort to get off the field! This was in HOUSTON in RICE STADIUM!!! Priceless!

Its what we watched every year they were in the Big XII and every year they were in the SWC.
Why anyone is surprised that they jumped ship for the SEC after years of getting their asses handed to them is hard for me to understand.
They have their precious little Traditions and multiple mascots and as anyone who has ever experienced a Game in College Station....we no longer have to vist that circus again unless someone should decide to schedule a Home and Away with them. IMO...they weren't in our Conference long enough to become rivals and as long as we play the Whorns...we have the best Fexas team on our schedule. No reason to ever schedule them again.

That video is incredible. Why would anybody even bother to make a parody? It stands on it's own as more embarrassing than any outside depiction could ever make it look. It's like if somebody took the 77-0 game and said "Hey -- let's really embarrass them and play it on a video game, but we'll make it 84-0!" The original reality is far, FAR worse than the parody.
