I've told this before, but a friend of mine was republican mayor of an affluent seaside community in California. She is not a Christian or a prude. She would be considered a rino.

She had to go to DC, to lobby for something for her city. She was there two Weeks. She said it was the most decadent place she has ever been. She hated the republicans and democrats so badly there, that she got out of politics when her term expired.

That's one reason I am for term limits. Its hard to be around that for very long without it rubbing off on you.
