I had some great peaches from North Carolina in July when I was in Virginia (the State).

I'm moving to the country, and I'm going to eat a lot of peaches. Peaches come from a can. They were put there by a man in a factory downtown.
If I had my little way, I'd eat peaches everyday -- sun soaking bulges in the shade.

I bought two boxes; some to eat, some to can and some to share. I just cut one up and boiled it with agave nectar and made peach tea. Yummy.
