My Dad's health has really slipped in the past couple yrs. I know in the near future his time is coming. Not looking fwd to dealing with that...

Take care, Soonerus. Cherish the memories.

If you have any siblings and there were any assets left behind, fights over parents' estates are the absolute worst in terms of an emotional toll taken on litigants in the courthouse. That includes divorce and custody cases (and said cases often lead to divorce cases). If you have siblings and your parents left y'all a chunk of change, for chrissakes, be fair with everyone. Otherwise, lawyers are going to walk away with more than y'all.

My condolences. I haven't lost a parent yet, but they're getting into their 70s...

I am so sorry.
I lost my father 22 years ago. My mother is starting to show her 83 years, though she still goes to aerobics three times a week. I dread it.

Very sorry to hear that. I've lost one of my parents (mom in 2009) and since then I've thought a lot about how hard it will be to lose the other.

Anyway, my sympathies go out to you. I will say a prayer tonight for you and your family.
