I gave this idea to STEP to do during the regular season, so I will give it a test run during the offseason.

Today's random Google News search is "Brent Venables," longtime defensive coordinator and Stoops assistant currently at Clemp-son.

CLEMSON — Brent Venables says he has enjoyed the first two days of fall camp thus far.

“We are still in the honeymoon,” the Tigers’ new defensive coordinator said after Saturday’s practice.

Defensive end Malliciah Goodman isn’t sure he would relate the first two days of camp to a honeymoon, but he says things are going well and the retention level from the spring has been very good.

“I don’t know what type of honeymoon he is talking about; it is pretty intense out there,” Goodman said. “I’m pretty sure things will get a little bit rougher though.

If you Google Recipe search, you get this (http://cowboyszone.com/forums/dallascowboys.php?t=18581), a Dallas Cowboys message board thread entitled "Brodney Pool- Recipe for Disaster"

Finally, the Google Video top find is this half-hour interview after his move to Clemp. I haven't viewed it yet, but here it is:

I hope he does well there. Especially since there's been all the tweeter chatter about Clemson joining the B12.

Must be tough to be a chiropractor in MN and def coord in major college football at the same time.

Oh, I don't know, they both specialize in adjustments to the human spine.

Sooo... good idea/bad idea/fun idea/lame idea? I'm thinking ex-coaches, ex-players and people we don't hear about as much in the Norman/OU region of the country.

I like it. Will be interesting to hear about some people you probably haven't heard from in a while.

Brian Bosworth.
He's always good for a few column inches.

I like BV. HE is an intense coach and he gave a lot for us. I wish him well. I can imagine him returning to Norman at some point. Just listen to how much Stoops influence is in his voice.

We're going to find out really quickly if there truly is a difference between Mike and BV running the show by themselves here. We already know how well they worked together. Change is inevitable in college football, though.

Saw a story on the Local News the other night that showed that Mike was enjoying getting back into the DC Limelight.

I still think it would have been fantastic to have Landry's last season have both Mike and Brent running our Defense together just to allow them to show that they were great together and that they were a huge part of Bob's Original Dream Team he brought to Norman in 1999.

I'm also glad Brent was able to get the gig at Clemson and hopefully prove and cement himself a future for his Family. He's deserving of it all IMHO.
