I thought he had "retired". He is 43 in the media day photos but not listed on the roster. Did he unretire?

43 that has to be rough but he was good enough he could have played until he was 45 IMHO. :D

He was removed from the roster back in March. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/blogs/sportspost.aspx?Updated_OU_roster_includes_several _changes/12-16028) Either he got put on alternative scholarship at OU, or he's transferring elsewhere. Either way, it seems that Stoops was finally fed up with having five of his 85 on kickers when most teams should have no more than two.

I was curious and was snooping SoonerSports. He's listed as a Sr. http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/ohara_patrick00.html

Ask badger. :D My guess is he's now a walkon if he gets on the roster, which is what had me confused (in team photo but not on roster).

Please don't make me try to count to the number 85. It was tough in kindergarten when you had the number beads all out in front of you, and it'll be even tougher now to go through the damn roster to see if they're scholly or no-scholly :P

Well, Tress Way said O'Hara was up in Kansas with his mom all Summer and that he is still on the team.

That picture of the 5 scholarship kickers says it all.

It really isn't gonna make a difference anyway. The offense is gonna be so good, we won't need a PK except for PAT's.

But he's been our KOS for the last couple of years.

Stevens gone?

Unfortunately, this is probably good news for the program. Stevens was so much the alpha male bad-tempered thumper that the entire team could not relax while he was within earshot. Anything Stevens took as a slight could come back and haunt the speaker in the form of lumps, bruises or fractures.

Wow, sounds like a real knuckle dragger, glad he graduated. :D

That picture of the 5 scholarship kickers says it all.

Except that only Way and Hunnicutt are on scholarship. As discussed here, O'Hara is not listed on the roster. Seibert and Hodgson are walk-ons.

If Hogson is able to impress, I am glad we have a replacement for Tress as we lose what I think is one of the best Punters we have ever had at OU. He's had some really great kicks that just really made you want to see them in replays and highlight reels.

Tress Way shoes are big shoes to fill.

Hunnicutt has been the guy we all hope we can count on from 40-50 yards out. Hopefully he's even better this year and I hope we don't miss any extra point tries this year. I can't stand missing freebies.

I'm still glad to see Eric Hosek on the roster. I've enjoyed watching him in warm-ups. He's got a nice style and eases my brain to know we have a guy like him in case Hunnicutt was to have problems.

Stevens problems was hard to watch. I still feel bad for him. He had the heart of a great kicker. It was sad to see him have so many problems.
