The 2012 football season is almost here, and we wanted to update you on your season ticket order. In a continued effort to better serve our fans, we are sending out an e-mail to inform you that your tickets are on their way! We mailed your season ticket order on Friday, August 3rd via 1st Class United States Postal Service.

If you have not received your football season tickets within 8-10 business days, please call The University of Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office at (800)456-GoOU or (405)325-2424.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 8 as the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Florida A&M Rattlers to kickoff the home season in our quest for the Big 12 Conference and National Championships.

The cheapest rates now on Stubhub:

Season ticket: $541
Florida A&M: $40
KSU: $73
KU: $68
Domer: $229
Baylor: $73
Poke: $140

In general, online sellers seem to be very naive, as are online buyers. The sellers think they can sell tickets for at least face value and the buyers are worried that they won't find fistfuls of tickets outside the stadium on gameday. Unless you're looking at a premium game (and even sometimes if you are), don't buy online. Sell online to make more, but don't buy.

What about the OU ticket marketplace? Their site is down...does anyone know when it will be back up? I usually get my tickets from there.....
