Hey, I thought Travis Ford investigated it and didn't find any wrongdoing? You know, since he's a real life investigator.

He was still technically with the team, but methinks this is what finally gets him dismissed.

As you can see, he didn't take the verdict too well.

So I just read an article (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/OSU/article.aspx?subjectid=93&articleid=20120724_93_B1_CUTLIN424349) on the verdict. The picture doesn't do the reaction justice. Read this:

As the first guilty verdict for rape by instrumentation was read, Williams no longer held it together. He sobbed and banged his hands on the table, breaking down emotionally. When he looked up, in between sniffles, he screamed to the jury, "I didn't do it!"

Behind him, family members and Oklahoma State teammates cried and screamed as well. Multiple people were escorted out of the courtroom after extremely emotional outbursts.

This really... is not typical, is it.... even those involving fairly young defendants, even those involving athletes. I know that he probably thinks his life is over, but... usually the attorney prepares their clients for a worst-case scenario. After deliberating for 8 hours, the attorney had to know that was a bad sign and warn his client about the potential for a guilty verdict and over-assure him of an appeal afterward.

To make this more football related, another guilty Poke today (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/OSU/article.aspx?subjectid=93&articleid=20120724_93_0_SILAEo665807).

To make this even more football related, Old Man Weeden signed his Brownie contract today, reportedly. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/OSU/article.aspx?subjectid=93&articleid=20120724_93_0_EDMOND998309)

Speaking of Old Man, we can't discuss Weeeeedeeeeennnn without the one who started for Cleveland last year, Pony Boy McCoy.

Link (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/colt-mccoy-not-convinced-hell-111105214--nfl.html)

The headline is "Colt McCoy not convinced he'll get fair shot at Browns' job."

His "fair shot" was last season. He didn't succeed, so they're moving a new direction.

Too bad for him, because he seems like a nice guy (and nothing out there suggests Old Man isn't nice, either), but it's the Neffel. Only 50-something roster spots and 30-something teams. They churn out tons more college athletes each season than there are roster spots to fill at the pro level. Something's gotta give, and in this case, it was the ex-winningest college quarterback (yes, we hate Bois Estate too, whorns).

I think Colt is mildly disappointed and the rest of his family is acting stupid in front of any microphone that will let them speak. Colt's reaction is normal from what I've seen. Couple his reaction with his wife's commentary his ******tastic brother and his Dad, he looks like a classic crybaby. Sort of how people thought Tom Brady was a whiny, sore loser because of what Gisele said about Welker's dropped pass in the Super Bowl.
I think he'll bounce back somewhere for awhile. There's plenty of NFL teams with attrocious QB play.

As for Weeden, that's quite a nasty mess he's stepping into. But then again, he's probably used to that by now. :P

As for the guilty agroids, shame on them. Blackmon can no longer pull the "I'm going to grow up and never do this again" act. DW... well, have fun in the slightly different orange jumpsuit, ya perv.
