With PSU crippled for at least ten years, how is this going to impact the Big10's marketability and ability to command big teevee dollars?

Would this open the door to the Big 12 snatching some schools that otherwise would not consider a move?

Like, Notre Dame? Iowa? others?

It will effect to in some small way but the B1G has other teams that can market the B1G (Michigan, Wisconsin, MSU, Ohio State). Its not like PSU was the face of the B1G and was on top. As far snatching other schools...very doubtful.

This has to be one of those times the B1G is thankful that they have their own TV network. No reason to worry about what ESPN, FSN, NBC, CBS, etc. think. They control the TV network, they dictate everything themselves.

The number one Big X beneficiary is the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Overnight the NCAA upgraded their program for at least the next decade. They went to sleep last night as the worst program in the Big X and woke up today as the second worst. The NCAA is doing what their coaching staff couldn't.

You referring to their vacated Final Four? Meatchicken had a fabulous one of those deleted too, as you may recall :)

Considering just a few years ago, Penn State was struggling to make a bowl game, I'm not sure it's going to have much impact (other than short-term, perhaps) on TV money for the conference. In fact, the networks might be able to squeeze some drama out of every PSU game the televise. Actually, unless I missed it, doesn't t seem strange that TV wasn't taken off the table for PSU? That's usually the first thing to go.

You must have forgotten that Indiana is in the Big 10.
