well, maybe lots of things ... but one thing I miss are the wild auctions on ebay. Back in the late 90s, ebay was sizzlin with action. You tried to outwit your competitors down to the last second.

Snipe what? The Golden Girls Complete Series on DVD? It doesn't count as sniping if you're the only one bidding.

Well, the bar be open, but it's just not hoppin' like it was back in the day.

Funny you should say that. What got me thinking about this was that I caught a few episodes of The Good Wife this year and decided I want to watch Season 1 from the beginning. Not available Netflix Streaming nor my local Blockbuster nor On Demand Comcast -- so I go to ebay. Lots of "Buy it Now" Season 1 but instead I enter an auction for Seasons 1 and 2. Kept bidding until I outbid all the autobot bids.

I hope I remember to pay state sales tax on this so I won't be doing anything illegal.

I bid on a lens the other day - 1st bidder and I checked my summary and there was nothing about it. No bold stuff or anything, so I hit a buy it now option and got another one. Then, I find out through some digging that I had actually made the winning bid on the first item. I'm guessing i'm about to be kicked off.

First item I ever bought on eBay were two tickets to the 2000 OU/K-State game. Had tickets on the 30 yardline 40 rows up right in the middle of the Wildcat faithful. Loudest game I have ever been to.

What I don't miss about the 90's is OU football.

First thing I ever bought on ebay was a smoking jacket back in 2001. It looked great online but it arrived only to discover that it wasn't a smoking jacket but some sort of velvety woman's dress coat thing.

Never ever set your final bidding price on the dollar. Make it something bizarre like $70.62.

I haven't eBay'd in a long time, but I remember that.

First thing I ever bought on there was a commemorative wall clock for the 2000 National Championship season. It's still hanging on my wall and still keeps perfect time.

OU football sucked so much in the 90s, its best game wasn't even in the 90s! Thank you Gibbs, Schnelly, and Blake!

The 90s was a pretty good decade to live outside of the US, for the first seven years of the decade anyway. The music sucked. The football sucked. Might as well be partying somewhere else in the world.

Yeah, ebay used to be a good thing. But then they started raising the fees to list items, then dealers moved in but the last straw was that it was taken over by sellers from china. It is actually cheaper to buy-it-now from a seller in china, even with international shipping added in, than from a domestic sale. It wasn't enough that they control Wal-Mart and can bootleg anything, they now have ebay.
