Meh, when you have the players taking tons of worthless classes that don't transfer to other universities you do two things:

1- Create an akademik environment that any athlete, no matter how dumb, can succeed in, and

2- Create a system where it's nigh impossible to transfer anywhere else, because the worthless credits mean that they wouldn't have enough credits for their standing (30 per year required as per NCAA).

I don't feel like looking up a link, but I read somewhere that tOSU was notorious for abusing the "independent study" possibilities. Derp derp read a book, write a paper, get full credit, derp derp.
