God, those were wonderful offenses to watch. Carr would pound, pound, pound the middle until, in desperation, the defense would pinch down and then three Olympic class sprinters would hit the corner against a single corner back. Ah, good times! And the glory was, the defense knew exactly what was going to happen, they just couldn't stop it.

Mike was an All Big 8 and All American LB while at OU, and won the Key & Gault awards. Mike is a really good man, and was a lot of fun to watch at OU (even though it wasn't the best of times to be a Sooner). Mike is now coaching at Edmond Santa Fe.

OU vs FSU 2011 - The most violent game I saw in 2011, awesome. Unfortunately we also destroyed FSU in the process so that talking heads would equate the lessened team with the one we beat. Sad.

OU vs NU 2010 - I'm still in awe of Ronnell's tackle of Martinez to deprive him of the 1st down. The comeback was OK too. :)

I love the old pic of Zac Henderson. He is from my hometown of Burkburnett, Texas. His mom was my sixth grade homeroom teacher. I was in high school the same four years he played for the Sooners in the fall of 1974 through fall of 1977. He was the first freshman to start after they changed freshman eligibility rules and he was on All-American teams the last two years. Great memory.
